Track Meet at Scio

This Wednesday, we had our third track meet of the season at Scio. At the meeting were three teams: Regis, Scio, and Taft. At the start of the meet, the girls’ four-by-one team gave a strong start by getting second place. After that, our boy’s four-by-four teams placed second and fourth. After that, we had the 100-meter dash in which Clara Persons placed third overall, and for the boys, Caleb Mayor got second overall. Next was the 400 meters which Rachel Coleman placed first overall. For the women’s hurdles, Daisy Hernandez got first overall and Kaila Hayes placed third. Then was the 800-meter run in which Lucas Koenke placed fourth, and Cole Laube placed seventh. Next was the two-hundred-meter dash with Caleb Mayor placing second overall and Clara Person placing third overall. In the three-hundred-meter hurdles, Daisy Hernadez placed first and Caleb Blish placed second overall. Last was the four-by-four “hundred relay” in which the lady Rams placed first. 

For the field events, Tim Crowel placed second in the pole vault and first in the high jump with a height of five feet, ten inches. In the shot put, Micah Diacetiz placed first and Michael Duncan placed second. In the long jump, Fletcher Gould placed second overall. For the triple jump, Caleb Blish, Grant Dolby, and Cole Laube placed first, second, and third, and for the women, Peyton Stuckart placed first. “For the meet, the girls ended up placing first and the boys placed second. As a whole team with the added points, Regis placed first. Great job Rams!
