The Adam’s Family Easter Tradition

By Olivia Adams
My family’s tradition is that we all get together at my aunt’s house. We used to do it at my house, but now we do it at my aunt’s. My mom has 6 siblings, and there are about 11 grandchildren and about 5 great-grandchildren. My grandparents always go, and my grandma makes the best homemade tortillas. Everyone who comes over brings a dish that my aunt assigns them, or that they want to bring. When all the kids arrive, we can color eggs that my aunt gives us. Once we are done coloring eggs, we eat, and the food is always so good. My grandma always does the prayer for us before we eat. After we eat, we usually just talk to everyone because we usually only see family during the holidays.
After we eat, there is usually a really good dessert to eat. After deserting, my cousins hid all the eggs. Since my cousin and I are the oldest out of the grandchildren. This year me, my cousins and I hid the eggs well, and it was always so fun to watch the kids find the eggs. Usually, after we eat eggs, we play a bunch of games, or we go down to my ponds. Overall, Easter is a really fun holiday to celebrate with my family.
