The 2025 Play

I interviewed Mrs. B about the upcoming fall play on April 28th. It went well. It was decided to interview her because there may have been a rise of curiosity among the theater kids. Although the interview was a bit short, there is some information about it. So there is some information that I learned about. One of the first things I learned was that the play is called “My Cousin Lino”. The genre of the play is farce, and the duration is one hour. The play was suggested by Mrs. O’Neil after looking for other ideas.

Mrs. B summarizes that the play is about two siblings named Katherine and Jonathan Prescott, who start becoming distraught when their Cousin Lino, who is a famous Italian botanist, cancels on being a guest speaker for an event. So Jonathan gets his long-lost friend, Robert, to fill in Lino’s role. However, Katherine is the only one to realize that Robert doesn’t know anything about Italy and plants. Yet she goes along with it. Problems start to arise when a large number of people arrive, including Robert’s ex-girlfriend. Robert then ditches the event last minute, and everything goes out of control with everyone going crazy and trying to find Cousin Lino. Finally, I asked Mrs. B what type of actors she is looking for, and as she stated, “I am looking for actors who aren’t afraid to be silly on stage.”  Auditions for the play will be held at the end of May or early June.
