Senior Service Day

By: Mayla Manning

The class of 2023 went on a service trip to run a field day for kids grades  K-8 for Catholic Community Service. This trip really embraced their leadership skills and their drive to help those who are less fortunate. There were many things that this day consisted of, including a water relay, a parachute, and Zorb balls. The schedule for the day was coordinated by Ms. B and members of the senior class.

The field day took place at St. Joseph’s House in Mount Angel. This house has pages and pages of history of helping families and children in need to have a safe place to live and learn. During the day, our seniors learned how to help the families and learn from the community how to be better people. Marcus Hurst said, “I think that the people who don’t usually lead found a voice to lead.” This service day very much shows the character of our seniors, and our school is excited to see what this special class will do to change the world.
