Regis Women’s Basketball

The Regis Rams women’s basketball started to practice on November 14th. We will have our first non-league game on November 30th against Jefferson. The Seniors on the team are Ali Hendricks and Amy Martinez. We are coached by Bart Stepp, Erica Wiltsey, and DeAnne Stuckart. Last season the Rams went 12-9, and they were 4th in the 2a Central Valley Conference. Adelle Otter said, “The season went really well. We had some ups and downs with injuries, but I think we pushed through and fought as much as we could.”

Our first League game is on Friday, January 6, against Gervais. Coach Bart Stepp says,   “I’m excited about the season, it should be lots of fun.” This year we are in the Tri-River Conference, and some teams we are going to play are Santiam, Gervais, and Colton. There are about fifteen girls going out for basketball this year. There are seven returning players; two Seniors, three Juniors, and two Sophomores. There are also eight Freshmen going out for basketball this year.
