Regis Needs More Clubs
By Kingston Whitmire
Regis High School is incredible in every way, although students believe we should have more extracurricular classes for our students and perhaps for our teachers to teach. We also should have more clubs. Right now, we only have the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) by Mr. Chandler and Coach Beodigheimer and the Students For Life and Little Lambs hosted by Mrs. Bischoff. Thankfully, William Miotke saw that he wanted to do something, and he did it.
Suppose our students want to learn anything or practice something we usually don’t do at school; they should have more power in choosing the matter. This is precisely what William Miotke is doing as he created a D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) club for Regis. The meeting was on Wednesday, November 15th, held in room 10 at lunchtime, and pizza was provided for those interested. William had many people interested, as about 15 students attended the meeting. It was a good meeting that talked about the basics, like cosplaying (acting like how the character would act funny, arrogant, etc.) as the character you make, how you would play the game, and what would make it fun or exciting. William explained well, and we will have our first meeting on Wednesday, November 21st, 2023, at lunchtime in room 10.
For those who don’t know what D&D is and are interested, here is a link to learn more about it (https://dnd.wizards.com/.)
