Regis Fall Play

By: Sophie Wagner

This year the Regis cast will be putting on “Southern Hospitality” in November. The play is about the townspeople of a small town called Fayro. The town isn’t doing well financially. So when a great job opportunity opens, the townsfolk do all they can to make it a reality.

The characters are as follows: Ms. Geneva MusGrave played by Amy Martinez, Honey Ray Futrelle played by Daisy Hernandez, GJ Dubberly Waverly played by Alex Pelayo, John Curtis Bunter played by Adam Hilton, Dub Dubberly played by Marcus Hurst, Frankie Futrelle Dubberly played by Macy Silbernagel, Raynerd Chisum played by Noah Koenig, Iney Dubberly played by Faith Hedrick, D. Dayva Davidson played by Mya Schumacher, and Buck Strickland played by Aidan Klauscius.

Daisy Hernandez says, “My favorite part of the play is being able to be in someone else’s shoes and having the confidence to step up on the stage. Plus doing an accent is also very fun!” The cast received their scripts at the end of the last school year and worked on it all summer. Since this is a play set in Texas, they have to speak in a southern accent, which they have also been practicing. The cast has been working hard for the past week getting ready for the play. Show times are on November 17-19 at 7 p.m. So please, come and enjoy this hilarious show!
