Movie Review: The Christmas Chronicles

By: Arlyn Birkholz

For my 4th RamPage Article, I decided to do a movie review. As tasked with this, I set out to find a fantastic Christmas movie. I ended up watching, hands down, one of the best Christmas movies ever! I ended up watching a movie called “The Christmas Chronicles.” This movie was basically about saving Christmas. It started with a typical family who had lost their dad (he died saving people’s lives as a firefighter). The siblings did not have a great relationship, so they fought, argued, etc. The holidays were challenging for the family. The mom had worked a lot, and this was their deceased father’s favorite time of year. The kids ended up meeting Santa and causing trouble.

The kids Teddy (a troubled teen) and Kate (a believer in Santa) ended up throwing Christmas off track. They stole a car with Santa and even got him thrown in jail. Fortunately, on their own, they saved Christmas. They made it to the North Pole, met elves and reindeer, and even escaped the cops. Towards the end of the movie, time was becoming slim. There was only an hour left to fix Christmas, but with the youngsters’ help, Santa saved Christmas with a particular strategy. After all that crazy stuff, Santa brought the kids home, and Kate even got Santa to say “HOHOHO!” which was, I guess, a myth for Santa. Lastly, Teddy got put on the Santa believer list and received one of the best gifts, but you will have to watch the movie to find out what that is. Overall this is a great movie that I recommend watching.
