On May 6, there was a junior varsity meet at Philomath School with several personal records and high placements. Carli Stelljes placed first in the triple jump with a 26 ’11 ” jump; Kate Stelljes placed second with a 21′ 7″ jump. Finally, Eli Bischoff placed third in javelin with a throw of 98 ‘5″.
Overall, the boys placed fourth with 51 points, and the girls placed fifth with 28 points, so a combined total of 79 points. Excellent job, Rams! This meet aimed to let younger, less experienced track competitors compete in a more open and less competitive environment so they could be less stressed while competing. William Miotke said ´´despite the cold, windy weather, everyone still had a fun time participating!´´
