Men’s Basketball: Regis Vs. Jefferson.

Before the game, we went over the game plan. In the pep talk head coach, Jason Koehnke had Isaiah Koehnke tell us a motivational quote. Isaiah Koehnke enthusiastically gave the team a quote saying, “ You are not going hard enough unless you make mistakes.” After that, the Rams used this quote and played hard with seven turnovers. 

In this season’s first matchup, the Rams beat the Jefferson Lions 84 to 55.

The Ram’s leading scorer, Isaiah Koehnke, had 35 points and helped lead the Rams to a big win. Koehnke had no free-throw attempts that night. Koehnke instead had five three-pointers and ten other field goals.

Deigo Aguilar had 28 points against his old school, the Lions. He had one three-pointer and 12 other field goals. He also led Regis in the Two-pointers made and helped Regis pick up the win.

For the Lions, Oswaldo Vasquez had 19 points. Putting up zero free throws, he was the leading scorer for the Lions. Having a great game, Oswaldo fouled out in the third quarter having a negative effect as Jefferson only scored 13 points in the fourth quarter.
