Fools

By: Ethan Shafer

Fools the play was presented at Regis High School on November 14, November 15, and November 16. I watched the play on Saturday and it was so hilarious. It went on for two hours and it was two hours of pure laughter and fun. It follows a teacher who enters a town that has been cursed for 200 years. The curse makes everyone stupid and the teacher has 24 hours to leave the town or he’ll become stupid. The ending was so fun along with the whole show.

I also interviewed the play director (Mrs. Boedigheimer) to see what her thoughts were about this production!

How long have you been directing plays?

“I have been directing plays for 27 years but for 15 years at Regis”

How long has this been in production for?

“We got the script at the end of May 2024”

What made you decide to choose this production?

“This was the first show I directed at Regis and I wanted to try it out on this completely new group and I’m a completely new director as well”

You have been directing plays for so long! Which ones stick out to you the most?

“The ones that stick out to me the most are; Fools, Once Upon a Mattress, The Lion King, the One-act Play That Goes Wrong, and Spamalot”

Interviewing Mrs Boedigheimer was so amazing because I got to peek into the life of what being a play director is like!
