Confession

Last week we were able to go attend Confession at school. e first went into the chapel and had eucharist adoration until a priest was available to hear your Confession. If you didn’t want to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, then you could sit in the chapel and pray silently. For Confession, you had the option of Fr. David Jaspers, Fr. J, or Fr. Luan. Many people have preferences on whom they would like to confess their sins so they wanted in line until the priest of their choice was available. Having Confession available as a part of the school day is great and the fact that Regis makes time for the students to attend is one of the many benefits of going to a Catholic school.

Personally, after I go to Confession I feel as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders but leading up to it I get kind of nervous but when I’m actually in there I feel the presence of God and am more relaxed. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is just a beautiful spiritual practice that we are able to experience as Catholics. It’s such an amazing thing that we get to have our sins forgiven and start anew. It is even more special that we get to experience it as a school.
