The year is 1967. The summer of love is raging, gas is 29 cents a gallon, and Elvis Presley marries the questionably aged Priscilla Wagner. But most notably, the RAMPAGE, Regis High School’s student newspaper, saw its genesis. Regis was young in its years, founded in 1963. Three seniors: Gayle Owen, Roberta Samek, and Steven Schmidt made up the core of the team. The newspaper grew and shrank as the years went on, going in and out of production until the early 80s.
In 2020 the RAMPAGE came back in a digital format but during COVID ceased publishing. With the assistance of the Class of 2027, the RAMPAGE has made a resurgence here, once again online for the 2023-24 school year. So, welcome to the RAMPAGE; your home for everything about Regis. Go Rams!!

Madison Silbernagel
My name is Madison Silbernagel, and I have two siblings who graduated from Regis before me. My brother, Colton Silbernagel, graduated in 2020. As for my sister, Macy Silbernagel, she graduated in 2023 as Salutatorian. My favorite hobbies are swimming, dancing, listening to music, and relaxing with my cats and dogs. I’m 17 and a junior this year, and I am excited to continue learning and helping out first- and second-year students. I want to leave Regis knowing I did my best in academics and theater. I want everyone to feel comfortable with me and be able to ask questions or for help when needed. I can’t wait to help you edit papers in Rampage and help your writing abilities grow.

Some sports I do or have enjoyed are Cross Country, Track and field, and swim team. I take care of my two ghost shrimp and two hermit crabs. I enjoy music like classical and Gregorian chant or Catholic Hymns. I took much interest in coin collecting and have been fascinated with money since I was little. I grew up in a Catholic family my whole life, but recently my family took it more seriously. I find my faith the most important aspect of my life and it surrounds me with actions of making this more than a weekly practice but a daily commitment.

Ethan Shafer
Hello. My name is Ethan Shafer, and I have been at Regis for three years now. I love everything related to creativity, art, and writing.
I had to move schools because bullies exist, and when I came to Regis in 7th grade, there were significantly fewer bullies. 🙂 I guess… At Regis, it has always felt like a real community. I got into sports, made friends, and got a free horchata from Muchas Gracias(ps thanks Cassidy and Mary Lynn). I’m a freshman in high school, and through these next few months I’m so excited to see how many articles I write for RamPage and see how many Horchatas I big back! Thanks.
