Christ the King Wednesdays
By: Amelia (Millie) de Soto
Wednesdays, as many should very clearly know, have a weird schedule. It’s centered around the wellness of students, in a way that tries it’s hardest to not directly make the students go out of their comfort zone but instead involves them in group activities to bring the kids closer as a community.
This addition of activities has brought a lot of positive comments. The wellness class is said to have accomplished its goal in a fun, social way.
Mr. Tabor’s group is 9-square, which according to Tabor himself says that “It’s an outdoorsy game that allows communication through a fun physical activity.” Madison Silbernagel (1st year) who is a part of this group said she very much enjoys the class and that “it has an environment to it that makes you comfortable to communicate with the other members.
Abigail Beyer (4th year) is in Shakespeare Films, where they watch them and then critique the movies. She also finds the class to be a joy.
Well, according to some of the interviewees, the Wednesday wellness classes are an interesting (in a good way) addition to the week, and very much well-liked.
