Summer for Harper Stoops

During the summer, I like to go mountain bike. Specifically, I like to mountain bike with Ethan Emch and Hank Foltz. Last year, we went to Silver Falls to ride the trails there. It is very fun to go at high speeds down the trails up there. The trails at Silver Falls are also in very good condition which makes it even more fun. Trails are usually dirt but sometimes are gravel and every once in a while they will be concrete. The only downside to mountain biking is that at some places if you want to ride the trails again, you have to bike back up to the top and at Silver Falls specifically, the trails going back up are very steep and take a long time to travel up. Mountain biking is also more than just riding on the trails, it also has to do with the bikes. A good bike could mean the difference between crashing and making it through cleanly. Biking in general is also pretty big in Oregon, which means that there are a lot of trails and shops that are close to us. Trails are everywhere, from Silver Falls to down in Corvallis and Eugene.
