My Interest in my faith

My faith has always been a big part of my life. It has not only helped me grow as a person but it has also helped me be happier. Coming from a religious family we always went to church and prayed at night. This also meant that I got baptized as a baby, and had my First Communion and Confirmation. We would go to church every Sunday. My brother and I, altar served.  I have always loved altar serving because it is a way of serving God. My parents wanted us to learn more about God so they enrolled us in a Catholic school which is the school that I am attending right now. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity because my faith has grown and I have gotten so much closer to God. I enjoy learning new prayers and new songs in church. I find it peaceful to go to church because I forget about everything. I like reading about different stories in the bible. I find it interesting how people become saints. Reading about their lives and how they found God and shared his love with others is so motivating. It’s also interesting to learn about the miracles that God did and how he appeared to people.  We learned about how Jesus got crucified and why he died for our sins. Learning all of this makes me want to know more about our Savior.  Overall my faith has gotten so much stronger and my life has gotten so much better ever since I have gotten closer to God. Having God in my life can only bring good things.  Knowing about his words can make me feel closer to him and also guide me through life.
