Freshman Junior Varsity Basketball Experience

By: Stephen Lejeune

The Regis Junior Varsity (JV) Boys Basketball team finished the 23-24 season with ten wins and seven losses. There were players in JV Basketball. Stuart McLaughlin, Benjamin Valladares-Cormier, and Kingston Whitmire were the three freshman players on the JV team.

Junior Varsity basketball is a good way to further understand the sport and a good way to get prepared for Varsity Basketball. When asked about the team’s performance Stuart responded with “We are doing pretty well” and he is “excited to continue the season.” Benjamin called the JV team and coaches “great and understanding people.” They both feel as if they want to improve and are improving because of the support they are getting. Stuart said, “I have enjoyed this season and I’m happy that I was able to play this year.” When asked about his experience on JV basketball, Kingston responded, “ It’s been a pretty good time and the upperclassmen helped teach me more about basketball.” This basketball season has been packed with large amounts of action. Good job Regis JV basketball boys and Go Rams!
