Regis vs Heppner

On Saturday at 1:00 pm, November 11, 2023, Regis faced off against Heppner for another week in the playoffs. So far, Regis is off to a perfect 10-0 lead against our opponents and they intend to keep it up. In the first quarter, Noah Koenig got the handoff and ran the ball from the 49-yard line to the 1-yard line. Noah Richter also ran a 56-yard touchdown for the Rams in the first quarter. Parker Batholomew caught the ball and ran it for around 23 yards for a first down in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Kollin Schumacher ran the ball for a touchdown. In the fourth quarter, defensive back Charlie Miller got a game-winning interception which stopped Heppner from scoring. Regis kept the ball for the rest of the fourth quarter and won the game 27-20. Coach Dan Koenig brought a championship ring into the team’s chapel time before the game and started to inspire all the players why they are here. Regis had a great game and put in all of their efforts trying to stop the two-year loss streak against Heppner and came out successful. This win has now officially put Regis in the Semi-finals for the first time since 2016.
