Regis Rams vs. Stanfield Tigers

By Andrew Hawley

On November 3, 2023, the Regis Rams beat the Stanfield Tigers 64-0 in the first round of the OSAA playoffs, keeping their undefeated season alive. The Rams were hosting the Tigers in a muddy game but the rain and mud didn’t stop the Ram’s offense. Kollin Schumacher had 262 passing yards and 5 touchdowns. Noah Richter and Kollin Schumacher started the game with a short pass to Richter who ran it 35 yards for the touchdown on 4th & 11.

Charlie Miller had 2 touchdowns, both were passes from Kollin Schumacher, a 60-yard pass and touchdown, and an 18-yard TD not much later in the game. Richter had 2 more back-to-back rushing TDs, a 40-yard and 2-yard TD. Noah Koenig had 2 TDs, a 35-yard run, and an 8-yard pass reception. On defense, Trevon Kuenzi got a fumble recovery in the endzone for a TD, and the last score of the game was by Rook Smith on a 7-yard run. The Rams had a total of 380 yards and held the Tigers to 27 total yards.

Charlie Miller led the game in receiving and Noah Koenig in tackles. The performance from the Rams was great. They need to keep putting in the work, pushing themselves to their max, and going step by step. The Rams may have won, but like Kobe Bryant once said, “The job’s not finished.” After this game, the Rams need to go all gas, no brakes as they take on the Heppner Mustangs.
