Travis Lulay

Who is Travis Lulay?  Travis Lulay attended Regis High School from 1999 – 2002. Travis played football, basketball, and baseball while he was at Regis and went to state in all of these sports.

Travis credits his time at Regis as helping build the foundation for who he is today.  He said what he learned as a Ram about his faith continues ”to guide and inspire my decisions in everyday life (not just on Sundays), has given me a healthy perspective in raising a family, building relationships, being engaged in my community, playing sports in college and professionally, and business.”

Travis’ best year of football at Regis was his senior year. The team had a good group of juniors and seniors that year, and also a collection of talented sophomores that contributed. One of those sophomores was his younger brother, Tyler, who played receiver. They had a stout offensive line. It made a fun year for Travis because he got to throw passes to a talented crew of receivers that included his little bro. The team made a great playoff run and beat perennial power Dayton (who had beaten them earlier that year) in the semi-finals. They eventually lost a hard-fought battle to Amity in the state championship game. “We can’t win ‘em all, but it sure was fun trying,” said Travis.

After high school, Travis went on to play for Montana State University for four years. He led his team to victory against their rival three years in a row. After his four years at Montana State, he went off to play for the BC Lions in the professional Canadian Football League. He was with the BC Lions from 2008 – 20018.

When Travis decided to retire from playing football in 2018, he moved back to Stayton with his wife and kids. He loves spending time with family and getting involved in his church. “My family and I are fortunate to be a part of this community,” said Travis Lulay.  We all feel lucky to have him back in the Ram family!
