Founding Spirit at Regis
Regis High School was founded in the fall of 1963. The opening of the school doors was a new beginning for the students, enabling them to continue their Catholic education that many had started at St. Mary. a new start for both boys and girls. This high school was created by the community to provide students with a Catholic learning experience. Regis has always attempted to model compassion, humility, and service. The school is meant to teach and serve Jesus to our brothers and sisters in need. The faculty and staff aspire to provide plenty of opportunities for faith and service that instill the love of Christ in the students. As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of its founding, of critical importance is to recognize the community and cooperative spirit that made Regis possible. There were many people who wanted to get involved with the school. Over the years, in particular, the parents wanted to get together and share some ideas that would improve the school. From the school motto to sports and plays, Regis has always encouraged the involvement of the entire community. The underlying goal of all those involved in the school has been educating the minds, bodies, and souls of the students so they could live as children of God. Here at Regis, family is the most important thing. It is what makes Regis the special place that it is. This includes the many students who are the third generation of their families to be Rams. “It’s amazing to see how our graduates send their own kids to our school. To see these families being successful, just seems to make the circle complete,” said long-time teacher Michael Bauer. Thanks to the support of so many people, Regis High School will always be in our community. Regis is an amazing education community and a great place to learn about our faith and prepare students to be successful in the future. We encourage other students to come to the school and see all the magic that happens when you become part of the Ram family.
