The first All School Mass of 2023

By Sebastian De Jesus

On September 29, a K-12 all-school Mass was held at the Immaculate Conception Church. This Mass was held to mark the beginning of the school year. The Regis students helped with the Mass with the seniors serving as lectors, extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, and bringing up the bread and wine as part of the offertory. The entire Regis student body served as the choir for the Mass and even sat in the choir loft.

The mass was nice and peaceful, and the singing was great. Benjamin Valladares-Cormier agreed, stating, “Sitting over the little kids was adorable because they kept looking up at us.” Gabe Keough said, “The Mass was life-changing,” and that he would go again. I asked a couple of people what they thought of the Mass and they said, “ Mass was nice, the singing was great and when everyone was together for Mass, it felt pretty good.” Overall, I think the K-12 Mass is great and we should keep going with the St. Mary students during the school year.
