This Year’s Fall Play: Clue

By Sebastian De Jesus

Are you looking for a fun activity after school but you don’t like sports? Well don’t worry Regis has something for you, it’s theater. The theater is perfect for people who like to act, meet new people, and for people who have a creative side. If you don’t like acting but you want to help, here are some things you can help with as a backstage crew: you can build props and scenes for the play, make sure lights and cameras work, and help actors. If you are interested in joining then go ask Mrs.B she is in charge of theater and is currently working on Clue for the fall play. Clue is based on the movie and game Clue and is about a murder at a mansion, occupied by several suspects, that is solved by a detective.

The actors are having a great time rehearsing and backstage is working hard to make sure everything is where it is supposed to be, light and mics, and all the props and background are made.. Jobs for backstage are props, scenes, microphones, makeup, costumes, and making sure everything is where it needs to be. Mya is the co-director, helps Mrs.B with acting, making sure everyone is on task, and notes. Mya says “ The play is going to be fun, full of mysteries, and twists and turns. Mrs. B is the director of the play and has been doing theater for over 25 years and she says “ Clue is one of my favorite movies/games and I am so proud and excited to be directing this play.” A quote from all the actors “ This play is a chaotic and crazy play and we are so excited to be in the play”.
