Xanadu Review

By: Sophia Shine

Regis showed Xanadu this last week on May 11th, and 12th, and twice on the 13th. The play was about Greek Muses that descend from the heavens of Mount Olympus to California in 1980 to inspire a struggling artist and to create a roller disco. The Spring Musical has been a work in progress for months and all the hard work paid off with a great performance. With 40 cast members and 20 crew members, everyone worked hard to pull everything together. In the musical, Emma Hendricks played Kira, also known as Clio, as the leading lady. She had a big role along with Marcus Hurst who played Malone and Aidan Klascius who was Danny Mcquire. Macy Silbernagel played Melpomene, who was one of the evil sisters, along with Abigail Serles who played Calliope. Lily Jepsen says that she will “…definitely do the musical again and that it was a great experience.” I thought that the final scene of the show was one of the most impressive because of the full cast being on stage all at once.
