Boot Scootin’ Boogie!
By: Mary Hernandez
The Boot Scootin’ boogie dance held at Victor Point Farm on Friday the 10th was such a blast! It was enjoyable for all the students including the chaperones. The festivities began at 7:00 pm with a fun bonfire followed by cornhole. The night was a bit chilly but the fire warmed everyone up really quickly and it was so very nice to be able to have the opportunity to get together and see our classmates. When I say the Regis students took up the challenge to dress country they definitely did not disappoint and were all decked out in their country’s best. Next, it was time for the dance portion of the night. Everyone was very excited to finally see the space and were ready to show their moves.
The room was lit up with hanging lights and chandeliers, so it was very magical. There was even haystack seating, and they provided everyone with homemade apple cider slushies from Green Bridge Farms and also some very delicious cupcakes (strawberry, chocolate caramel, raspberry). When the music began, some students were a little shy on the dance floor but pretty soon everyone was up on their feet dancing their hearts out. It was tons of fun swinging (which was my favorite), and line dancing was led by some pretty great students. Just when we thought the night couldn’t get better, it did, as they brought in a very talented singer and he sang some country favorites that had everyone singing along. Sadly the night had come to an end at 10:00 p.m. After all the dancing, everyone was getting pretty tired and headed home but we all had a good time and it was surely a night to remember. Thank you so much, student council, for putting together and planning this excellent night, and thank you to the chaperones, and of course Victor Point Farms for hosting us. Please enjoy these wonderful photos from this fun evening!
