Women’s Basketball

The Rams have a very tough schedule for basketball these next few weeks. Last week we played three tough games, taking on the Santiam Wolverines, Kennedy Trojans, and the Colton Vikings. This week we are playing the Willamina Bulldogs, the Salem Academy Crusaders, and the Western Christian Pioneers. We are playing some of the top ten teams in the 2A Tri-River conference this week.
Santiam was a close game, with the final score being 42 to 34. The next game was Kennedy, the final score being, 66 to 31. Clara Persons had 31 points and Makenzie Schacher had twelve points. The last game that week was a very close game. We lost in overtime by one point, and the final score was 38 to 39.
As I said, this week we play Willamina, Salem Academy, and Western Christian. Salem Academy and Western Christian are two of the best teams in 2A. We beat Willamina 46 to 31 on Tuesday night. The Lady Rams took on the Salem Academy Crusaders, losing 42 to 29. We beat Western Christian 36 to 34. When we played the Pioneers, they were up 24 to 9 at halftime, but we went on to win the game, with Adelle Otter scoring 18 points.
