Homecoming Dance
By: Eli Bischoff
Homecoming is always one of the biggest highlights of every year. We had a week of dressing up in fun costumes, then we had macho and powderpuff, which was followed by the bonfire. Next, we had the football game against Blanchet, where they announced the Homecoming King and Queen, Cole Laube and Macy Adams, at half-time. Although the whole week was very fun, I think we can all agree that the dance was the best.
When I first arrived, I saw the student center was pitch black with some flashing lights on the ceiling and walls making designs and patterns. Right outside, there was the desk where we had to buy our tickets. The 7 dollars per ticket was definitely my least favorite part. Once we walked, people had flooded the dance floor and I could already tell it was gonna be a great night. I looked to my right and I saw the holy grail: the snack table. It was full of desserts, sweet fruit, and all kinds of chocolates. Finally, I got to the dance floor and I danced for about thirty minutes. Then I saw some people with some tasty-looking drinks and I decided I needed one. I headed to the bar and I got myself a blue raspberry Italian soda. It tasted great, and when I was done I went back to the dance floor for another round of songs. The music was also great. We had a wide variety of music: rap, country, pop, slow-dancing songs, and Mexican. Although they were all great, I think my favorite was country. 3 hours flew by and we had to leave. It was very fun and hope that next year the dance is just as good.
We didn’t get to take as many photos from last year’s homecoming but here are some photos taken by the students in their lovely attire:
