2023 Kids Cheer Camp

 By Hailey Kearns

The cheerleaders hosted a cheer camp for kids in grades pre-k to 4 so they could learn chants for Regis games. September 18 was the day of practice but we will be performing at the football game on September 22. The camp hosted the cheer camp in the Regis gym. The cheer squad hosted the camp to get the word out that everybody was welcome and that there were many fun things to do at cheer.   (Kid 1st grader)

While instructing the many children it was fun to see them all laughing, smiling and cheering as loud as they could. In addition to cheering, there were many different fun games and activities the young cheerleaders did when taking a break including playing duck duck goose and red light-green light. It was really fun to see everyone having a great time.

The highlight of the camp came when the little Rams got to perform for their parents. It was very heartwarming to see how the parents were so happy to see their children cheer. The Regis cheerleaders werealso very excited to perform with the little ones. The entire camp was a great success as noted by one camper who said “ This has to be my favorite cheer clinic I have ever been to”.
